Shambhala Music Festival

Music in the Park

The Kalawsky Auto Group presents live music at Kinnaird Park in downtown Castlegar every Wednesday throughout July. On the 1st is Baker Street Blues; the 8th is the Diamond Willow Band with Delaine Hird (country); the 15th is Route 33 (rock); the 22nd is Jon Burden and Holly Hyatt (blues); and the 29th is the 11th Hour Band (rock).

$5 Movies at Castle Theatre

The Castle Theatre (also known as “The Old Theatre”) in downtown Castlegar is offering a special discount for various nights throughout the month. For only $5 you can see great movies in the comfort of an historic theatre. This month’s $5 movies include the classic Raiders of the Lost Ark, Never Grow Old, Austin Powers, The Matrix, Goodfellas, and Amazing Grace – The Aretha Franklin Concert Film.
