Castlegar has joined forces with the BC Ale Trail to offer a unique “Sip and Stay” package that includes accommodation in the heart of the city as well as gift certificates to the local craft brewery and the famous Lion’s Head Pub.

This is the perfect time to enjoy a stay before the Christmas holidays in Castlegar because the leaves are turning, the air is cool, and the summer vacationers have all gone home. The “Sip and Stay” package costs $200 and includes two nights at the SureStay Hotel by Best Western (based on double occupancy) as well as a $20 gift certificate to Tailout Brewing and a $25 gift certificate to The Lion’s Head Smoke and Brew Pub.

To take advantage of the offer, book via the Sure Stay Hotel website and enter PROMO code “sipstay2021” when booking. Your room options will come up at that point. Offer is valid from Nov. 19 to Dec. 20.

The Lion’s Head Smoke and Brew Pub has been ranked as one of the eight best pubs in the province of British Columbia. Located a five-minute drive from downtown Castlegar in the community of Robson, the Lion’s Head is no stranger to media attention, having been featured by various publications including the Adventure Journal, which showcased it last year saying it’s most likely the only pub in North America with a natural rock climbing wall in its backyard.

Located at 1810 8th Ave, Tailout Brewing is a convenient two-minute walk from the SureStay hotel. Opened in late 2019, it is Castlegar’s first craft brewery and it offers a large, open setting and custom art that reflects the staff’s love of fishing. As for the SureStay next door, it was recently renovated and the rooms are spacious and modern.

The “Sip and Stay” promotion is a partnership with the BC Ale Trail, which is a province-wide initiative that offers a series of self-guided itineraries highlighting local craft brewery destinations and the super, natural landscapes that surround them. For more, visit BC Ale Trail.
