The Kootenay #9 branch of the BC Old Time Fiddlers Association will be hosting its 2024 Fiddle Camp at Selkirk College in Castlegar BC. from July 16th to 18th, 2025.

This year’s Camp will be a 3-day event, similar to last year. We will have multiple levels of fiddle instruction, guitar accompaniment instruction, and piano (keyboard) instruction. Camp registration includes classes, jam sessions, and evening activities.
Level of Instruction:
Fiddle: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced instruction
Guitar and Piano Accompaniment: Intermediate level only. Students should know all the basic open chords well. It also helps to be familiar with fiddle music, as that is the style of accompaniment instruction being provided.
Accommodation: Unfortunately, the college dorm rooms are not available this year, so make your arrangements early for accommodation at the several local camp grounds and hotels. Selkirk College will also not be providing cafeteria services, but it’s an easy five-minute drive to restaurants in downtown Castlegar.
