Join thousands across BC and swap driving for biking during GoByBike Week! The West Kootenay Cycling Coalition is hosting a free, all ages Community Ride in Castlegar on Sunday, May 31, and you’re invited to roll out with us for a fun, relaxed morning on two wheels.
We’ll meet at Millennium Park, head out for a group ride together, and return for a free lunch, games, and prizes — the perfect way to kick off GoByBike Week with friends, family, and neighbours.
Event Schedule
By 11am — Community Ride departs from Millennium Park.
A friendly, all ages group ride suitable for a wide range of riders.
Stick around after the ride for:

• A chance to connect with local riders and celebrate active transportation in Castlegar

Everyone. Truly. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist, a weekend cruiser, or a kid on training wheels — this ride is for you. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to get rolling for GoByBike Week.

We’ll be collecting BIKE BINGO cards at this event before the draw on June 6 at the BBQ Campout in Nelson for a Bike tune-up valued at $200 at a bike shop of your choice in the West Kootenays. Pick up your BIKE BINGO card at your local bike shop (i.e Cycology in Castlegar or Gerricks / Sacred Ride in Nelson) or download a PDF via our website at www.westkootenaycycling.ca/events – pick one up, print one out or load it on to your phone and start claiming squares via bike-related activities ASAP!
