Mountain Biking BC has announced its latest contest will include a stop in Castlegar to ride the incredible trails in the city and to enjoy tasty brews at the Lion’s Head Pub and the soon-to-be-opened Tailout Brewery.

The winners of the “Peak to Pint Adventure” contest will enjoy seven days of riding in British Columbia’s Southern Interior from June 20-27, 2019 paired with tasty brews in each location, which will include Castlegar, Cranbrook, Invermere, Kelowna and Merritt.

This is the 9th year of the Mountain Biking BC 7-Day Giveaway Contest and last year the winners enjoyed riding bikes during the day and drinking beers in the evening on Vancouver Island. However, 2019 marks the company’s first foray to Castlegar as part of the contest because, as it says in the contest literature, it’s a hidden gem. The copy goes on to say, “Over the years we have experienced amazing trails and met awesome people in every corner of the province as we attempt to showcase the communities that are either legendary riding destinations or hidden gems. This year it’s the gems that we are after as we weave our way through BC’s interior to catch a few places we have missed in the past. Our sights are set on lesser known and up and coming places including Castlegar… We are excited to discover what riding adventures these locations have to offer including some of their aprés ride craft breweries! This trip features spectacular mountain scenery, friendly towns, masterfully built trails, epic rides and fresh locally brewed craft beer.”

This year’s prize trip will be from June 20-27 and includes the following:

  • 7 days of guided mountain biking by Endless Biking
  • Guided rides at each destination
  • 8 nights’ accommodation plus meals
  • All transportation during the trip within BC
  • $1,000 cash to help get you here

On May 13th, 10 randomly selected finalists will be asked why they best deserve to win this prize trip. The grand prize winner will be announced by May 21st. Content entrants must be 19 years old. For more information and to enter visit mountainbikingbc.ca/contest. The contest entry period ends at midnight on May 12th.
